Anglers who choose our fish house packages get a full-time crew working hard to keep our houses on the best bite available in the area. Our houses are first class and modern, with luxuries like electric lights, propane furnaces, and comfortable seating.
Option 1
Standard Fish House Option
Fish Devils Lake in comfort with our most popular winter offering. Houses are modern, pre-heated, and pre-drilled, with electric lights, propane furnaces, and comfortable seating — available in 2-, 4-, and 6-person sizes, with cook stoves on request. Our crew runs transportation to and from the houses (though we recommend driving your own vehicle on our plowed ice trails), supplies live and frozen dead bait for tip-ups, and keeps houses positioned on the best bite in the area. It's not a guided trip, but the crew works the ice hard to keep anglers on fish. Fishing runs sunrise to sunset — Devils Lake has no night bite, so we don't offer sleeper houses. Packages need a minimum of two people and scale up to groups of 100+, with special rates for 12 or more.
Priced up to 6 people below — the property has two 6-person houses, so a 6-person group can take one 6-person house or two 4-person houses (shown as separate options). Larger groups should call for current availability. Tap a room type to see its rates.

Option 2
Expedition Fish House Option
Fish where the others don't go. Our Expedition Package puts you in premium Ambush Slammer and Zack Shack houses, drilled in and ready at private lake accesses around Devils Lake and on smaller connected lakes — water the day-trip crowd never reaches. This is a semi-guided rental built for more self-sufficient anglers. You still get everything the Standard package includes: pre-heated, pre-drilled houses with electric lights, propane furnaces, and comfortable seating, plus live and frozen dead bait for tip-ups and a crew keeping houses on the best bite in the area.
A 4x4 vehicle is required and there are no restroom facilities at any Expedition location — recommended for experienced, self-sufficient anglers only, not first-timers or families with young children. There is no half-day rate. Priced up to 6 people (two 3-person Expedition houses); larger groups call for availability. Tap a room type to see its rates.

Bring your own house and use our ice infrastructure: over 40 miles of plowed roads on Creel Bay and beyond, a heated shower house, and a fish cleaning station. This package is separate from the lodging + fish house rate sheet above and its pricing is unchanged.

- How to read the tablesFind your group size below — that row is your price. Lodging Cost = nightly room rate × nights. Fish House Cost = daily house rate × days fishing.
- Tax includedSubtotal and Per Person (teal columns) already include 8% sales tax — these are the final amounts due, with Per Person rounded up to the whole dollar.
- Lodging overageLodging per night is the base rate plus $35 per person over the included occupancy — 4 people for cabins and suites, 2 people for lodge units, motel rooms, the One Bedroom Cabin (B3, B4), and the One Bedroom School House Cabin.
- 6-person groupsWhere a group of 6 can be housed more than one way, both options are shown. Sections above only price up to 6 people; larger groups (up to 100+) should contact us directly — special rates apply for 12 or more.
- SuitesSuites require a 2-night minimum stay.
- What to bringAppropriate clothing, food, rods, fishing equipment, and refreshments. We'll drill extra holes outside for tip-ups — North Dakota allows 4 lines per angler, and we plan for 2 holes per person inside the houses.
- Fishing hoursSunrise to sunset. This isn't a guided trip, but we work hard to keep houses on the best fishing in the area. We don't offer sleeper houses — Devils Lake has no night bite.

When is the best time to come ice fishing?
The best time to come fishing is all the time! For updated info on how fishing has been, subscribe to our fishing report or give us a call.
Can I drive to my house?
Yes, though sometimes ice or snow conditions may prevent you from driving yourself out.
Where can I get a fishing license?
You can get a fishing license online. If you're unable to get one before your visit, staff in the bait shop will assist you. The license fee must be paid with a credit or debit card.
What is a typical day like?
Around 7 AM, staff begin taking anglers to their houses (meet at the bait shop). Staff check in throughout the day and can move you to your other house or back to the resort on request. The ice crew begins picking everyone up near dark.
